Two week courses in Psychiatry were taught at Porirua Hospital for a fee of $10 in 1977,  1978 & 1981, accommodation and meals were available.

Margaret Moon taught relaxation classes in 1982 and 1982 and how to cope with chronic pain in 1980. 

Over the same period Margaret Moon taught bio-feed back,  as well as in 1995.

After group formation

November - Auckland SMART Hyperventilation syndrome + bio feed back half day $12 member
1995 Auckland  Saturday morning seminars on topics raised in the newsletters
1995 Seminar gathered data to establish guidelines for the physiotherapy assessment of stress
1996 June ‘The use of Motivational Techniques in Physiotherapy’
1996 November  ‘The Spectrum of Abuse - Recognition and Action’.
1996 Auckland-based seminars continued
1997 March Sunnyside Hospital,  Christchurch ‘physiotherapy in mental health’. September - Sunnyside - a practical day to follow on the March course
1998 Dinah Morrison spoke to Auckland physiotherapists about the workbook supplement to her book Hyperventilation Syndrome.
1998 Hamner Springs. Tania Clifton Smith two day seminar  ‘breathing in the treatment of all conditions’.  Other topics covered at the seminar were body awareness and massage techniques (Linley Rodda);  rolling relaxation (Meris Brandam Adams);  recognising and treating anxiety (Rosemary Mannering);  and measuring outcomes (Sue Lord).
