1975 | a two week postgraduate course was run. This was limited to twenty registered physiotherapists of whom eleven were in hospital practice, four in private practice, and five non-practicing.[1] |
1980 | a Postgraduate course “Physiotherapy in Medical and Chest conditions” was run with Barbara Webber (Brompton Hospital London) as guest speaker.[2] |
1982 | Advanced Diploma in Physiotherapy in Manual Therapy: the first formal postgraduation qualification for physiotherapists in New Zealand. This was a one year full time course. |
1983 | Seven students were enrolled in the postgraduate course Manual Therapy Option[3]. |
1984 | Advanced Diploma in Physiotherapy (Neurological Physiotherapy option[4]. |
1984 | Five students completed the Postgraduate course in Manual therapy in 1983 |
1985 | 9 students were successful in the manual therapy option of the postgraduate course |
1986 | The AIT ran an Advanced Diploma in Physiotherapy the 1986 option was Manual Therapy. 14 passed[5]. |
1987 | 9 students enrolled in the Post Graduate Course Manual Therapy Option in 1985. |
1987 | The Advanced Diploma in Manual & Neurological treatments continued in 1987. |
1994 | Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Manipulative Physiotherapy) |
1994 | Master of Health Science (with physiotherapy options) |
1996 | Neurodevelopment paper for MHSc (distance learning) |
1999 | Postgraduate Certificate in Acupuncture |
2000 | Sports Physiotherapy and Neurological Physiotherapy options in the MHSc |
